| Interruption | Under the rules of debate, no Member may interrupt the Member who is having the floor. Members may, however, rise to call the attention of the Chair to a point of order or to make a point of clarification. In the latter case, the Speaker or Chairman will leave it to the Member speaking to decide if he will "give way". The interruption is allowed only so that the point can be made. S.O. 51. |
